About Anita Marie
Anita Marie Lamar earned her J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2011. She studied law in Oklahoma and completed her degree as the first decade of the 2000s drew to a close. The classroom years left her with a formal legal foundation and an understanding of the regional courts she would later practice in.
After law school, Lamar became licensed to practice in both Oklahoma and Georgia. Over the years she has handled matters that require knowledge of each state's rules and procedures. Her dual-licensure has allowed her to take cases and advise clients across state lines, balancing different statutory and procedural frameworks as circumstances require.
Lamar maintains a presence in metropolitan Atlanta while also working out of Decatur. She divides her time between those offices, traveling as necessary to meet clients and attend hearings. Colleagues describe her approach as steady and methodical; she works through issues in a measured way and prepares for hearings and filings carefully.
She holds current membership in professional associations that support practicing lawyers in the region. That involvement keeps her connected to peers and current developments in the law. She has participated in continuing legal education and local bar events that underscore everyday changes in practice and procedure.
Clients who encounter Lamar will find a lawyer experienced in handling matters that cross jurisdictional lines. She brings courtroom preparation, written advocacy, and procedural knowledge together in the services she provides. Her practice is practical in orientation: she pays attention to deadlines, prepares evidence, and keeps clients informed about options and likely next steps.
Outside the office, Lamar’s work habit centers on planning and follow-through. She structures casework to accommodate filings in multiple courts and to respond to opposing counsel on schedule. That operational discipline shapes how she staffs matters and allocates time between her Atlanta and Decatur offices.
She currently splits her practice between Atlanta and Decatur, serving clients who have matters arising in both Oklahoma and Georgia.
