About Anish Kanti

Anish Kanti Patel earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, completing his studies in 2016 after beginning law school in 2013. His time at Stetson included classroom work and practical training that prepared him for Florida practice. He left law school ready to enter a courtroom and a law office; the path since has been practical and hands-on.

Patel began his post-law school career in Florida and joined St. Johns Law Group as an associate in 2019. That role placed him in the day-to-day work of client matters and team collaboration. He handled research, drafting, and client intake. He also worked alongside more senior lawyers on case preparation and strategy.

Later in 2019 he moved to Old City Law and took on the role of managing partner. The shift to firm leadership brought new responsibilities. He took charge of case management and supervised other attorneys. He also dealt with administrative matters that come with running a small firm, from staffing to workflows. The managing partner role broadened his work beyond individual files and into how a practice serves clients and operates effectively.

Throughout his career Patel has kept active ties to professional circles and maintains current memberships in legal organizations. Those connections have kept him engaged with developments in Florida law and provided regular professional exchange with colleagues. He has combined that engagement with a practice that blends client-facing work and internal firm responsibilities.

Colleagues describe him as practical and direct in meetings, preferring clear plans and concrete next steps. He approaches client matters with attention to detail and an emphasis on organization. His background at two Florida firms in 2019 — an associate role followed by a managing partner position — gives him an unusual mix of frontline case work and firm management experience for someone early in their career.

Patel now practices at Old City Law in Florida. He continues to handle client matters while overseeing firm operations, balancing legal work and the administrative duties of running a practice. His current practice focuses on client representation and firm leadership.
