About Anisa
Anisa Jordan grew up studying languages and politics before turning to the law. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2003. She went on to earn her J.D. from DePaul College of Law in 2009.
She began building practical courtroom experience while still in school. In 2007 she worked as a judicial extern for Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys. That same year she served as a law clerk at the Cook County State's Lawyer's Office, performing research and drafting that supported active prosecutions and court proceedings.
After graduating from DePaul, Jordan returned to the Cook County State's Lawyer's Office as an assistant state lawyer in 2009. That period gave her firsthand experience with the local justice system and the routines of public-office litigation. Her responsibilities included courtroom appearances, case preparation and coordination with other legal staff.
In 2015 she launched The Jordan Law Office. She has led the firm since then, handling matters on behalf of individual clients across Illinois. Her practice draws on the procedural familiarity and courtroom experience she developed in the Cook County office.
Jordan maintains professional ties through bar association membership. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her connected to local practitioners and continuing legal education offerings.
Colleagues describe Jordan as methodical in case preparation and direct in court. She combines trial experience from her years in the Cook County office with the responsibilities of running a small firm. Her practice is based in Illinois and serves clients in state matters.
She now practices from The Jordan Law Office in Illinois and concentrates on representing clients in matters across the state.
