About Angela C.

Angela C. Larkins built a legal foundation at the University of Tennessee. She earned a B.S. in Finance from the Knoxville campus in 2001 and a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2004. Those years combined financial training and legal study, a combination that later shaped her practice.

After law school she began practicing in Tennessee. Over time she added specialized credentials that reflect her practice interests. She is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Family Mediator, certified through the state court system. She is also a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst through the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. Those certifications inform the work she does at the intersection of family law and financial matters.

Her practice emphasizes the financial dimensions of family disputes. She helps clients parse division of assets, retirement plans, business valuations, and the tax consequences of settlement proposals. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst she prepares or reviews financial reports and presents numerical analyses that can clarify complex financial questions. As a Rule 31 mediator she conducts sessions intended to allow parties to reach agreements outside of prolonged litigation.

Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who explains numbers plainly. She translates account statements, appraisal reports, and settlement calculations into terms that nonlawyers can use. Her mediation training guides the procedural side of settlement talks. The analytical training of a CDFA shapes how she frames options and trade-offs for people facing divorce or other family-law transitions.

Larkins has maintained a practice under her own name, offering services primarily in Tennessee. That arrangement allows her to combine legal counsel, financial analysis, and mediation based on the needs of each case. She accepts matters where both neutral dispute resolution and detailed financial review are appropriate. She also works with other lawyers and financial professionals when cases require additional expertise.

Clients come to her for help untangling complicated financial situations tied to family law. She regularly assists in preparing detailed analyses for settlement negotiations and mediations. Her current practice focuses on family law, mediation and divorce financial analysis.
