About Andrew
Andrew Sacks began his legal career after completing a liberal arts degree at Grinnell College in 1981 and a J.D. from Dickinson School of Law in 1984. Those years gave him a foundation in both broad inquiry and the technical work of law school. He moved into practice in the mid-1980s and has maintained a presence in the Pennsylvania bar since then.
Across a long career he has been admitted not only in Pennsylvania but also to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third and Sixth Circuits. Those admissions allow him to represent clients on matters that progress beyond trial courts into the appellate system. He has experience filing briefs and participating in appellate proceedings in federal courts where jurisdiction reaches across state lines.
Sacks’s path through private practice has included work on litigation that touches both state and federal law. He has handled cases that required attention to procedural and substantive rules at multiple judicial levels. Over time he has built familiarity with appellate filings, record preparation, and the pacing of appeals, tasks that require careful written advocacy and attention to precedent.
He currently practices at Sacks Weston, LLC. At that firm he serves clients whose matters may arise in Pennsylvania courts or in federal appellate courts such as the Third and Sixth Circuits. His role at the firm involves advising on procedural strategy and preparing the filings necessary to pursue relief at higher levels of review.
Outside of court work he has maintained ties to the legal community through admissions that permit cross-jurisdictional practice. That standing has shaped the way he handles cases, from initial pleadings to post-trial appellate steps. His experience across forums informs how he evaluates the risks and potential next steps for clients.
As of 2026 he continues to practice at Sacks Weston, LLC, representing clients in matters that may proceed in Pennsylvania state courts and in federal appellate courts.
