About Andrew
Andrew Olesnycky took a steady path into criminal law. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Newark in 2009 and moved quickly into courtroom work. The early years of his career gave him exposure to both judging and prosecuting, experiences that shaped his approach to litigation.
Straight out of law school he clerked for the Superior Court of New Jersey in 2009. That clerkship offered him an inside view of trial procedure and judicial decision-making. The following year he joined the Union County Prosecutor's Office as an Assistant Prosecutor and served as a Special Deputy Lawyer General. Those roles placed him on the front lines of criminal prosecutions and motion practice.
By 2015 he stepped into private practice as an associate at The Law Offices of Robert G. Stahl, LLC. There he handled serious criminal matters and gained experience on both pretrial and trial phases. His time in private practice built on the prosecutorial perspective he had developed, now applied to defense work.
Olesnycky is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. His credentialing includes a Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer designation from the Supreme Court of New Jersey. That certification signals formal recognition of trial capabilities under state standards.
He maintains memberships in several professional organizations. These include the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the New Jersey Association for Justice. He is listed among the Criminal Certified Lawyers for the State of New Jersey. Those affiliations place him in professional circles that regularly discuss trial strategy, evidentiary issues, and appellate practice.
Today he practices at Stahl Criminal Defense Lawyers. His experience spans prosecutorial office work, a judicial clerkship, and private criminal defense. He handles trial preparation, motions, and courtroom work in state and federal venues. His current practice emphasizes criminal defense, including trial practice and related appellate matters.
He continues to work on criminal cases in New Jersey and New York, representing clients in both trial and pretrial settings.
