About Andrew O.
Andrew O. Stiffler earned his undergraduate degree from Villanova University in 2009 and went on to receive his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2013. He stayed connected to Duquesne after graduation through the law school alumni association. Those early academic years helped shape an attention to courtroom procedure and advocacy that follows him into practice.
After law school, Stiffler began practicing in the Pittsburgh area. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the Supreme Court of the State of Pennsylvania, as well as in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit. That mix of state and federal admissions means he handles cases that move between trial courts and appellate panels. He has maintained membership in the Allegheny County Bar Association since 2013.
Stiffler is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a group he joined in 2016. The association ties reflect part of the matters he handles in court. He also sustains ties to his alma mater through the Duquesne Law Alumni Association. Those professional connections keep him engaged with local practice trends and developments in criminal defense and litigation strategy.
Today he serves of counsel at Mielnicki & Stiffler, LLC. In that role he litigates in both state and federal forums and appears in trial and appellate proceedings when cases require it. His work involves case preparation, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy. He remains active in bar groups in Allegheny County and in statewide criminal defense circles. He currently practices litigation in state and federal courts, including criminal defense matters.
