About Andrew
Andrew Mikos earned a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in 2001 and completed his Juris Doctor at Florida State University College of Law in 2003. His academic path took him through two well-regarded institutions and set the stage for a practice that spans state lines. He left law school prepared for the practical demands of litigation and client counseling.
He is admitted to practice in both Florida and Michigan. That dual admission shapes the work he takes on. It allows him to represent clients under the laws of two different states and to address legal questions that cross state borders. Admitting attorneys in multiple jurisdictions often involves additional procedural and continuing education requirements; he has maintained the credentials necessary to serve clients in both places.
After law school he entered private practice. Over time he established a practice operating as Mikos Law Office. He manages the practice through that firm name and handles intake, case management, and client communication there. The office serves individuals and entities seeking counsel under Florida and Michigan law.
Colleagues describe him as practical in the courtroom and straightforward with clients. He has handled matters that required attention to state statutes and agency procedures. He is comfortable in hearings and in drafting pleadings and motions. He also spends time advising clients on compliance issues that arise from state-level regulation. He structures legal work to reflect the priorities of the people he represents rather than a rigid template.
Outside direct representation he attends continuing legal education programs and stays current on statutory changes in the jurisdictions where he is licensed. That ongoing study informs how he advises clients when laws change or when new administrative rules take effect. It also guides tactical decisions about where to file claims and how to frame legal arguments.
Today he practices under the Mikos Law Office banner. He balances casework across Florida and Michigan and handles matters that require knowledge of both states’ legal frameworks. His current practice concentrates on advising and representing clients in matters governed by Florida and Michigan law.
