About Andrew L.
Andrew L. Speicher trained in liberal arts before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from MidAmerica Nazarene University, completing a double major in history and business administration. He continued his studies at Drake University Law School and received his J.D. in 2001. Those years established the academic foundation that would carry him into courtrooms across two states and the federal system.
Early in his career Speicher worked as a trial lawyer for the Missouri Public Defender Office in 2002. That role put him before juries and judges and offered sustained courtroom experience. He moved into private practice the following year as an associate at Evans & Dixon. In 2004 he took on a senior associate position at BMK&Y, PC. Over that stretch he alternated between trial work and litigation responsibilities in state court settings and developed practical skills in case management and advocacy.
In 2014 Speicher helped found Morefield Speicher Bachman, LC. As a founding member he helped shape the firm’s structure and day-to-day operations. He has maintained his practice there, handling matters that span state and federal filings. He holds admission in Kansas and Missouri and is also admitted to practice before the Federal Circuit, enabling him to carry cases into federal appellate forums when necessary.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and thorough in preparation. His background—public defense followed by private litigation—gives him a perspective on both sides of courtroom conflict. He has experience moving cases through trial procedures and into appeals when the circumstances require further review. That blend of trial and appellate exposure informs how he approaches case strategy and client counseling.
Outside of specific case work, Speicher’s professional life has been anchored at Morefield Speicher Bachman, LC for more than a decade. He continues to handle matters that require advocacy in state courts and federal venues, and he accepts cases that benefit from an attorney familiar with trial practice and federal appellate procedure. His current practice focuses on representing clients in state and federal matters, including cases presented to the Federal Circuit.
