Andrew Kevin Jacobson is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Jacobson is the founder and principal attorney at Bay Oak Law, a law firm located in Oakland, California. He has been practicing law for over 35 years, serving clients throughout the Bay Area.
Mr. Jacobson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 1990. During his time at Boalt Hall, he served as an Assistant Editor for the International Tax and Business Lawyer. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Stanford University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1985.
Mr. Jacobson's practice areas include intellectual property law, business litigation, and employment compliance. He has extensive experience in handling cases involving trademark and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition. His work encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jacobson has represented clients in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of Alameda and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He has also appeared before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Jacobson is an active member of the Alameda County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association.
