Andrew C. Hubert is a former attorney who was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1985, holding. He was a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, a national law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Hubert's practice was primarily based in the firm's Los Angeles office, where he served clients throughout California.
Mr. Hubert earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School in 1984. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at Claremont McKenna College, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English Literature in 1981. He also attended the University of Nantes in France, focusing on Political Science. Additionally, he participated in the Mediation Program at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law in 2008.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Hubert specialized in insurance defense, personal injury, and general casualty litigation. His practice encompassed cases involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, premises liability, products liability, and Special Investigative Unit (SIU) matters. He represented major regional and national insurance carriers, as well as self-insured corporations, handling all stages of litigation, including trials and appeals.
Mr. Hubert was admitted to practice before several courts, including the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles County Municipal Court from 1994 to 1995. Over his 40-year career, he gained extensive experience in both state and federal courts.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Hubert was an Associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) from 2009. He was fluent in French and Hungarian, which enabled him to effectively serve a diverse clientele. Mr. Hubert resigned from the State Bar of California on September 3, 2025, and his license status is currently resigned.
