About Andrew B.

Andrew B. Reid built a legal foundation at the University of Oklahoma, earning a B.A. in 1974 and a J.D. in 1978. He returned to formal study later in his career and completed an LL.M. at the University of Denver in 2004. Those academic milestones bookend a professional life that spans several decades of courtroom practice and appellate work.

Reid began practicing law after finishing his J.D. in the late 1970s. Over the years he has become admitted in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. His admissions include the state bars of Colorado, South Dakota and Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and both the Eighth and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals. Federal trial court admissions include the U.S. District Courts for Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He is also admitted to the Nebraska Supreme Court. That range of admissions has allowed him to take cases from initial filings through trials and appeals across the central United States.

His work has involved both trial and appellate litigation. He has handled matters that proceeded in federal district courts and then, when appeals were necessary, moved to the circuit level. The fact that he sought an LL.M. mid-career signals an interest in continued legal study and a willingness to revisit complex legal issues with new tools. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and deliberate in preparing appellate briefs. He has represented individuals and organizations in disputes that required attention to procedure as well as to underlying legal questions.

Across a long practice, Reid has navigated the technical demands of federal procedure, the cadence of appellate briefing and the practical realities of trial preparation. He combines courtroom experience at both trial and appellate levels with familiarity in several Midwestern and Western jurisdictions. He currently represents clients in civil litigation, appellate proceedings and federal court cases across the jurisdictions where he is admitted.
