About Andrew A.
Andrew A. Bestafka earned a history degree from Columbia University in 2003 and completed his law degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2007. Those years set the foundation for a career spent largely in New Jersey courts and bar organizations. He moved from the classroom to courtroom work soon after law school.
His first listed courtroom role was in 2007 at the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, where he worked in an appellate capacity. That early exposure to appellate matters gave him experience with motions, briefs and the cadence of post-conviction proceedings. He later shifted his practice toward civil and family matters while remaining active on the county legal scene.
In 2011 he opened his own firm, The Law Office of Andrew A. Bestafka, Esq. Running a solo practice required handling case intake, client counseling and courtroom appearances. He also took on public service roles; in 2013 he served as a volunteer Early Settlement Panelist at the Monmouth County Courthouse, helping parties explore negotiated resolutions before trial dates.
Bestafka’s involvement in professional groups has been steady. He joined the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Monmouth Bar Association in 2007. He has been a member of the NJ State Bar Association Family Law Section since that year and has served as a trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association Family Law Section. He also spent time in the NJ State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division from 2008 to 2012 and was a member of its Family Law Section during the same period.
Outside of family law committees, he chaired the Monmouth Bar Association’s Blood Bank Committee from 2009 to 2011. He became a member of the Haydn Proctor American Inns of Court in 2012 and has been listed as a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice since 2012. These roles reflect ongoing ties to county and state legal institutions rather than a single pathway of civic work.
Today he maintains his practice as the owner of The Law Office of Andrew A. Bestafka, Esq. He handles client representation, settlement negotiations and courtroom matters in New Jersey. His practice currently concentrates on family law and related matters.
