About Amy

Amy Weisberg built a steady legal career after completing college and law school in Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish from Dickinson College in 1999. She then continued her studies at Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2002.

Her early years in practice were spent gaining courtroom and client experience at small firms. In 2003 she joined Joseph W. Hood & Associates, P.C. as an associate lawyer. The following year she moved to Kenneth B. Murov, PLLC, where she continued in an associate role and expanded her practical skills.

In 2009 she became a partner at Weisberg & Weisberg, PLLC. That move marked a shift from associate-level roles to firm leadership and business management alongside legal work. Over time she took on responsibilities typical of firm partners: supervising cases, mentoring junior attorneys, and helping shape firm strategy.

Weisberg maintains ties to the legal community through several local and state organizations. She is a member of the Virginia Bar Association and the Newport News Bar Association. She also belongs to the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. These memberships keep her connected to peers, local courts, and continuing legal education opportunities.

Colleagues describe her as steady and practical in approach. She takes factual and procedural matters seriously and aims to give clients clear explanations of options and risks. Her courtroom experience and time in private practice have given her a working knowledge of processes that matter to clients, from motion practice to case preparation.

Outside of firm duties, she has balanced professional obligations with the administrative demands that come with partnership. She has overseen case teams and had a hand in client intake and case management. Her years in practice have also involved regular interactions with judges, opposing counsel, and court staff across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

She is licensed to practice in Virginia and remains active in the community of lawyers there. She practices at Weisberg & Weisberg, PLLC and represents clients in matters brought in Virginia courts and administrative settings.
