About Amy
Amy Farrar is a founding partner at the Tennessee Center for Estate & Elder Law, located at 718 South Church Street in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar in 2005, starting a distinguished legal career. The firm specializes in many services, including estate planning, trust law, elder law, probate, conservatorships, business law, real estate law, and appeals. This comprehensive approach allows the firm to meet the diverse needs of its clients effectively. In 2005, Amy earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Prior to that, she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wake Forest University in 2000. Her academic achievements laid a strong foundation for her legal expertise.
Before establishing her own firm in 2012, Amy worked clerking for Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Cornelia A. Clark. Following her clerkship, she spent six years at a prominent Nashville law firm, where she developed her skills in various areas of law. Recognition has followed Amy throughout her career. She has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyers "Rising Star" for six consecutive years, highlighting her exceptional contributions to the legal field. In addition to her practice, Amy has also served as an adjunct professor of business law at Middle Tennessee State University, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of legal professionals. In 2022, Amy expanded her professional horizons by joining Pinnacle Financial Partners as a Trust & Wealth Advisor and Fiduciary Counsel. In this role, she leads the Trust & Wealth Management team in Rutherford and Bedford Counties. Amy holds the Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the American Bankers Association, further demonstrating her expertise in trust and financial matters. This position allows her to integrate her legal knowledge with financial advisory services, benefiting her clients even more. Community involvement is a significant aspect of Amy's life. She serves as a Ruling Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro, where she contributes to the spiritual and administrative leadership of the congregation. Additionally, she is on the Executive Board of Directors for the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring, promoting educational initiatives in the community.
As the Treasurer for the Middle Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women, Amy advocates for gender equity within the legal profession. Married to attorney Jeff Farrar, they have three sons, further enriching her commitment to family and community.
