About Thomas E.

Thomas E. Parkerson built his legal foundation in Tennessee and Mississippi. He earned a Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1999. He went on to complete his Juris Doctor at Mississippi College School of Law in 2003. Those academic years set the stage for a career that has moved between public service and private practice.

Parkerson began his career as an associate at Boston, Holt & Sockwell, PLLC in 2003. A year later he joined the 16th Judicial District District Lawyer's Office as an assistant district lawyer, where he handled prosecutorial responsibilities and routine courtroom work. That early prosecutorial role gave him front-line experience in trial procedure and case preparation.

After several years in public service, Parkerson returned to private practice. In 2011 he joined Bennett, Parkerson & Bray, an association of lawyers, where he worked on a range of matters alongside other litigators. His move in 2013 to become a managing partner at Parkerson Santel, PLLC marked a step into firm leadership. He spent the next decade balancing casework, client relationships, and the administrative demands of running a small law firm.

In 2024 Parkerson established Parkerson Law, PLLC and serves as its owner. The firm reflects his years of courtroom experience and practice management. It also represents a continuation of work across the two states where he is licensed to practice: Mississippi and Tennessee.

Over the course of his career Parkerson has accumulated experience on both sides of the courtroom aisle. His time as an assistant district lawyer provided prosecutorial exposure. His years in private firms involved litigation and client counseling. Colleagues describe him as practical in the courtroom and methodical in case preparation. He approaches matters by prioritizing facts, procedure, and clear communication with clients.

Outside the courtroom, Parkerson has handled the operational side of law practice. He has overseen staffing, case intake, and the financial management that small firms require. That administrative background informs how he runs Parkerson Law, PLLC and how he allocates resources to individual cases.

Parkerson maintains active licenses in both Mississippi and Tennessee and has practiced in state courts across both jurisdictions. He currently leads Parkerson Law, PLLC, where his practice centers on litigation and courtroom representation in Mississippi and Tennessee state courts.
