About Amy F. Campbell
Amy F. Campbell Spector built a steady academic foundation before entering private practice. She earned a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. She then completed a J.D. at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2005 and returned to the same campus for an MBA in 2008. Those degrees form the background for a career that blends legal work with management responsibilities.
Licensed to practice in both Illinois and Missouri, Spector moved into firm practice after law school and held several advancing roles. In 2010 she joined Blake Law Group, P.C. as a lawyer. Two years later she took a senior lawyer position at Stange Law Office, P.C., where she expanded her casework and took on larger matters. In 2013 she became managing partner at Hicks & Spector, L.L.C., stepping into a leadership role that combined oversight of firm operations with continuing client representation.
As managing partner, Spector has handled administrative duties as well as substantive legal work. She supervises case management, assists with strategy on complex matters, and mentors junior attorneys. Colleagues describe her approach as practical and organized; she manages the balance between the day-to-day demands of running a firm and the attention required by clients’ files.
Spector has remained engaged in the bar community throughout her career. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association since 2005. She joined the St. Clair County Bar Association in 2010 and the Madison County Bar Association in 2016. Those memberships reflect regular professional ties in the region where she practices and help maintain connections to local court rules and fellow practitioners.
Her offices include Hicks & Spector, L.L.C., along with a satellite office location. She continues to maintain an active role at the firm and to take part in regional bar activities. Her practice serves clients from the firm’s main office and satellite location across Illinois and Missouri, and her current practice focuses on serving those clients and managing the firm’s matters across both jurisdictions.
