About Ameer E.
Ameer E. Mabjish built a legal path that moves between courtrooms and classrooms. He earned a B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Kentucky and completed his J.D. at the University of Dayton School of Law. Those formative years led to a string of clerkships and public defense work that shaped his daily practice.
Early in his career Mabjish served as a law clerk in Hamilton County, working for Judges Richard Bernat and Norbert Nadel. He then spent time clerking at Waite, Schneider, Bayless, and Chesley. Those clerkships preceded his work at the Department of Public Advocacy in Covington, where he was a staff lawyer handling trial matters. The experience exposed him to courtroom procedure and the pressures of trial-level defense work.
Mabjish later entered private practice. He worked as an attorney at The Rsk Firm in 2015 and then turned to teaching as an assistant adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati in 2016. In 2017 he opened Mabjish Law, PLLC and has operated the firm since. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and Ohio, and he holds admissions to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Southern District of Ohio, as well as to the Sixth Circuit.
Professional associations track much of his career. He belongs to the State Bar of Ohio and the Kentucky Bar Association. He has been a member of the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2008. He also joined the Cincinnati Bar Association in 2018. Those memberships reflect overlapping interests in criminal defense and local court practice.
Mabjish's background combines public defense, private litigation, and classroom instruction. He spent years in trial settings and displays steady courtroom experience. The combination of clerkships, public advocacy, and private firm work gives him a practical perspective on motions, plea negotiations, and jury trials.
Colleagues and clients see him as an attorney who moves comfortably between state and federal dockets. He manages cases in both trial and appellate forums that include state courts and federal district courts in the Sixth Circuit. His practice at Mabjish Law, PLLC handles criminal defense matters and related litigation in state and federal courts, including trial and appellate work.
