About Amanda
Amanda Swanberg returned to the Midwest classroom twice. She completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Minnesota State University, Moorhead in 1997 after beginning her undergraduate studies in 1993. A decade later she began law school at William Mitchell College of Law in 2007 and earned her J.D. in 2010.
Her legal career has been rooted in Minnesota. She is licensed to practice in the state and has worked in private practice since finishing law school. Over the years she has handled client intake, case preparation and courtroom appearances. Colleagues describe her as deliberate in planning and attentive to case details. She also brings an orderly approach to deadlines and court procedures.
Before joining Martin Law she built practical experience across the civil court calendar. That work included drafting pleadings, participating in discovery, and preparing for hearings. She has experience managing the practical side of litigation as well as advising clients about procedural options and timing. Those skills matter in everyday legal work, where paperwork and timing often shape outcomes.
Her undergraduate training in psychology informs how she communicates with clients and evaluates testimony. She pays attention to how people describe events. She asks follow-up questions and tests assumptions. Those habits carry into negotiations and settlement discussions, where a clear account can change the course of a case.
Swanberg also maintains ties to professional circles and keeps current on courtroom rules and state practice updates. She participates in continuing legal education and holds active professional memberships. Those commitments help her stay familiar with statutory changes and procedural developments in Minnesota practice.
At Martin Law she handles a range of matters that arise in state courts and administrative settings. Her practice is organized around practical problem solving and steady case management. She meets clients, assesses options and moves matters through the system to resolution. Her current practice at Martin Law centers on representing clients in Minnesota state matters.
