About Amanda

Amanda Kimble began her legal path at George Mason University, earning a B.A. in Government and International Politics in 2004. She stayed at the same campus for law school and received her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2007. Those years in Fairfax shaped her early interests in courtroom work and client counseling. The academic record is direct; the trajectory that followed moved quickly from classroom to courtroom.

Her first position after law school was as an associate at Schargorodski & Associates in 2007. That role put her into the daily practice of litigation and client intake. She returned to private practice in 2013 as an associate at Hottell Malinowski Group, P.C., and two years later joined Malinowski Hubbard PLLC as a senior associate in 2015. In 2020 she moved to Livesay & Myers, P.C. as a senior associate and was elevated to lead senior associate in 2021. The sequence shows steady professional advancement over nearly two decades.

Kimble is admitted to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Those admissions allow her to handle matters that range from local family court proceedings to appeals in the federal appellate system. Colleagues describe her as someone who prepares for hearings carefully and who expects the same attention to detail from those who work with her.

Her work intersects with family law. She holds membership in the Fairfax Bar Association’s Family Law Section since 2007 and has served as vice-chair of the Fairfax Bar Association CLE Committee since 2018. Those roles involve organizing continuing legal education programming and participating in section meetings. The committee position also places her regularly in front of other lawyers, where she presents practical questions about procedure and evidence.

Clients and peers encounter an attorney who balances courtroom readiness with case management. She has handled contested hearings, negotiated settlements, and prepared appellate filings when cases require it. She brings the procedural knowledge needed for family law matters in Virginia and litigation strategies suited to the Fourth Circuit when appeals are necessary. She currently practices at Livesay & Myers, P.C., concentrating on family law matters in Virginia and related federal appellate work.
