About Alisha
Alisha Esselstein studied international relations before turning to the law. She earned a B.A. from Augsburg College and went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2018. The shift from international affairs to legal practice gave her a broader view of how rules and institutions affect people, an outlook she has carried into her legal work.
After law school, Esselstein built a practice in Georgia, where she is admitted to practice. She has worked on matters that require careful attention to procedure and clear communication with clients, judges and opposing counsel. Her training at a Midwestern law school and an undergraduate focus on global issues inform how she frames legal problems. She pays attention to both facts and context.
Esselstein is the principal of Esselstein Law P.C., a firm that represents clients in the state of Georgia. At the firm she handles client intake, manages case strategy and oversees litigation when cases proceed to court. She also manages the administrative responsibilities that come with running a small law practice, including supervision of support staff and coordination of client services.
Her approach to cases is methodical. She prepares filings and briefs, conducts legal research, and prepares witnesses and clients for hearings. She explains options and likely outcomes in plain language. When litigation is necessary, she appears in the appropriate Georgia courts. When matters can be resolved outside the courtroom, she pursues those avenues as well.
Colleagues describe her as practical and exacting in legal analysis. She prefers clear records and careful calendar management. Those preferences shape how she organizes case files and allocates resources for each matter. Her undergraduate studies in international relations also help when cases involve cross-border elements or when clients face regulatory questions that touch on broader institutional frameworks.
Outside of courtroom hours, Esselstein attends continuing legal education programs to keep current on state procedural changes and substantive law developments. She maintains professional memberships relevant to practicing law in Georgia.
She practices at Esselstein Law P.C., where her work includes representing clients in Georgia state matters and managing the day-to-day operations of the firm.
