About Alex R.
Alex R. Bloom came to law after completing an undergraduate degree at Lehigh University in 2015 and earning his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2018. He finished law school during a period of steady change in New York courts, and he entered practice equipped for litigation in both state and federal forums. His academic record reflects a traditional path into private practice: a liberal arts undergraduate education followed by three years of legal study.
Bloom is admitted to practice in New York and in the federal courts that serve the state. His registrations include the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York. Those admissions shape the geography of the matters he handles and the procedural rules he applies on a day-to-day basis.
He is an associate at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf. In that role he works on litigation matters that proceed in New York’s trial and federal courts. His practice involves drafting pleadings and briefs, conducting legal research, and preparing for depositions and hearings. He regularly files documents in state and federal dockets and assists in the preparation of motions and client submissions.
Outside casework Bloom takes on professional responsibilities in bar and alumni organizations. He serves as a director of the Lehigh Lawyers Association, and he holds memberships in the New York City Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. Those connections place him in a network of practitioners who exchange information about procedural developments and professional standards in the region.
Colleagues describe Bloom as a lawyer who is comfortable in courtroom procedures and in the detailed work of motion practice. He has built a practice that engages both district and state court litigation, and he continues to develop litigation experience through active filings and court appearances. He is currently an associate at Gair, Gair, Conason, Rubinowitz, Bloom, Hershenhorn, Steigman & Mackauf, practicing in New York state and federal courts, including the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York.
