About Alex

Alex McClure built his path into law from an early interest in the criminal justice system. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California University of Pennsylvania (B.S., 2004) before going on to Stetson University College of Law, where he completed his Juris Doctor (J.D., 2007). Those years set the foundation for a career spent largely in small-firm practice and private ownership.

McClure entered practice in Florida and moved quickly into partnership. In 2008 he became a shareholder and partner at Scherr & McClure, P.A. That role placed him in a collaborative firm environment and exposed him to the day-to-day management of client matters. Two years later he opened his own practice, starting the Law Office of Alex McClure in 2010. Running his own office changed the rhythm of his work. He began handling the entire case lifecycle for many clients, from intake through resolution.

Early in his legal training he also held a Certified Legal Intern credential from the Florida State Bar. That experience is part of the record of practical legal work he undertook while completing professional education. It also reflects a period when he balanced courtroom exposure with classroom demands.

McClure has maintained professional ties beyond his firm. He was a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers from 2018 to 2019. That affiliation aligns with the bankruptcy and consumer debt matters he has handled in practice. His career shows a recurring engagement with issues affecting individual debtors and the legal mechanisms available to them.

Colleagues and clients have encountered McClure in several roles: partner at a small firm, then sole owner and principal attorney. Those shifts required him to move between collaborative and independent practice styles. The transition also meant taking on administrative duties for a law office in addition to legal representation.

Today McClure operates the Law Office of Alex McClure in Florida. He continues to represent individuals in matters related to consumer bankruptcy and debtor relief. His practice concentrates on those areas of law and the practical problems they present for clients.
