About Alex

Alex Bruno built a legal foundation at two California institutions. He earned a B.A. at the University of California at Berkeley and returned south to complete a J.D. at UCLA School of Law in 2000. Those years shaped his understanding of both state and federal systems and set the stage for practice in California courts.

His early career moved him into litigation work in the state. He has practiced at Wilson Elser, where he has handled matters that arise in California’s trial and appellate venues. His work has taken him into federal courtrooms as well as state courthouses, and he has been involved in case preparation, motion practice, and courtroom appearances for a range of clients.

Bruno is admitted to practice before the State Bar of California and is authorized to appear in courts across the state. His federal admissions include the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions shape the types of matters he accepts and the procedural contexts in which he operates.

In ordinary course he prepares pleadings and briefs, conducts discovery, and argues motions. He has managed litigation calendars and navigated procedural rules in both trial courts and appellate panels. That practical courtroom and office work forms the backbone of his day-to-day responsibilities.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and steady under pressure. He balances attention to detail on written work with the need to adapt when facts shift or rulings change. His practice requires routine coordination with clients, experts, and opposing counsel, and he has carried those habits through the various matters he has handled.

Outside of filings and hearings, he maintains professional ties to the legal community in California. He remains engaged in matters that touch on procedural and substantive issues arising in state and federal litigation. He has continued to practice at Wilson Elser, where he handles cases that proceed in both California state courts and federal courts, including appellate work in the Ninth Circuit.

He currently practices law at Wilson Elser and concentrates his work on litigation matters in California state and federal courts.
