About Afshin
Afshin Mozaffari earned his J.D. from Whittier College School of Law in 2009 after completing a B.A. at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2006. He moved from classroom to courtroom quickly. The sequence of degrees marked the start of a steady legal career in California.
He began practicing soon after law school. In 2009 he worked at Marron Lawyers. Two years later he joined Tharpe & Howell, LLP as a lawyer, taking on civil litigation matters and gaining hands-on courtroom experience. In 2012 he opened Mozaffari Law and has served as principal and founder since then. The transition from associate roles to founding his own firm came within a few years of his first professional steps.
Mozaffari’s practice covers employment and consumer law matters. He represents employees in disputes over wages, hours, wrongful termination and related workplace claims. He also brings cases on behalf of consumers under state consumer protection statutes. He handles pre-litigation negotiation, administrative claims and civil lawsuits, and he prepares cases for trial when settlement is not reached. The work mixes client counseling, document drafting and courtroom advocacy.
Professional memberships reflect the shape of that practice. He holds current membership in the State Bar of California and participates in the California Employment Lawyers Association and the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He maintains a life membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an affiliation that signals experience handling cases with substantial damages.
At Mozaffari Law he runs a small practice oriented toward individual clients and employment-related litigation. He oversees case strategy, client intake and litigation planning, and he remains involved in the day-to-day handling of matters the firm accepts. He practices in California and focuses his work on employment and consumer protection cases in state courts and administrative venues.
