About Adam Wilson

Adam Wilson Fomby began his academic journey in economics and arrived at law through a sequence of deliberate steps. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. He then enrolled at the University of Houston where he completed his Juris Doctor in 2012, taking courses tied to trial litigation during his studies.

Those classroom years led directly into a practice shaped by courtroom work. Early in his career he built experience on matters that required courtroom presence and contested hearings. He developed habits lawyers rely on: careful preparation, attention to witness testimony, and an emphasis on clear argument. Those habits inform how he approaches cases today.

Fomby has concentrated his legal work in Texas. His professional path kept him within the state’s courts and legal community. He has handled matters that moved through state procedures and that required familiarity with Texas rules and local practice. That practical experience underpins his approach to scheduling, filings and courtroom interactions.

Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom. He tends to favor a straightforward style of advocacy. He prepares witnesses to speak plainly. He focuses on the facts that matter to judges and juries. Outside the courtroom he has managed the practical details that keep cases moving—discovery schedules, compliance with procedural rules and timely client communication.

At the same time he has maintained roots in smaller practice settings. He operates the Fomby Law Office, where he handles matters that arise in state courts across Texas. Running a smaller office has required balancing client work with the administrative responsibilities of a law practice. That balance shapes how he staffs cases and allocates time for trial preparation.

Over the years his work has leaned toward litigation and trial-related tasks, from initial pleadings through contested hearings. He draws on his trial training from law school when assessing case strategy and trial readiness. He also spends time guiding clients through the procedural steps that lead to resolution, whether by trial or other means.

He continues to practice law in Texas through the Fomby Law Office, handling litigation and trial work in state courts.
