About Adam

Adam Peoples is an attorney licensed to practice in both North Carolina and Georgia. He earned his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. The law school shaped his early approach to practice, combining doctrinal courses with practical exercises and clinical exposure.

After law school, Peoples began building a practice that spans two state systems. He is admitted to the bars in North Carolina and Georgia, and his work reflects the realities of cross-border legal issues. That dual admission gives him a practical perspective on how statutes and court decisions in one state can affect cases or transactions in the other.

Peers and clients see him as methodical and straightforward. He pays attention to the nuts and bolts of a problem. He tends to break complex questions into discrete issues, then tackles them in sequence. That approach makes it easier to explain options and next steps to people who do not have legal training.

At Hall Booth Smith, PC, Peoples works alongside other lawyers who handle a wide range of matters. He contributes to cases and matters that require familiarity with Georgia and North Carolina procedures and substantive law. His role involves research, drafting court filings and contracts, and advising clients on the procedural implications of their choices. He also collaborates with colleagues on strategy when a matter touches multiple jurisdictions.

Outside of courtroom or transactional duties, his training at Mercer continues to inform his practice. The school’s emphasis on practical skills remains evident in how he prepares for hearings and client meetings. He pays particular attention to the record and to the factual work that underpins legal arguments.

People who consult him can expect direct communication and careful attention to deadlines. He tends to lay out the risks and possibilities plainly and to identify follow-up steps that keep a matter moving. That clarity helps clients make decisions under time pressure or in complicated circumstances.

He maintains his licenses in both states and practices from the Hall Booth Smith, PC office. He currently focuses on representing clients across North Carolina and Georgia at Hall Booth Smith, PC.
