About Jake Andrew

Jake Andrew Snider built a steady path into the North Carolina bar. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Oregon in 2006 and completed his law degree at Elon University School of Law in 2013. Those years framed an early interest in litigation and court procedure, and they also placed him in several practical roles while still a student.

His clerkships began in 2011 at the Law Offices of Fred T. Hamlet. In 2012 he worked for multiple offices, including the Freedman Law Office and Ogletree Deakins. That same year he served as a judicial extern to the North Carolina Business Court, an experience that exposed him to business dispute resolution and complex civil practice. After law school he joined the Asheville Law Group as an associate in 2013, the year he entered practice in North Carolina.

Snider moved into firm leadership fairly quickly. In 2016 he became a partner at Asheville Legal. The partner title reflects several years of handling client matters and supervising case work. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and deliberate in preparation. He is active in local legal circles and keeps a visible practice in the Asheville area.

Membership in professional organizations has been part of his career since admission. He has been a member of the North Carolina State Bar since 2013. He also maintains membership in the North Carolina Bar Association and the 28th Judicial District Bar Association. Those affiliations keep him connected to state-level developments and local practitioners in Buncombe County and surrounding districts.

His background includes experience at both a national labor firm, Ogletree Deakins, and smaller local offices. That mix provided early exposure to employment matters, civil litigation and courtroom procedure. He has carried those experiences into private practice in Asheville, where he manages cases, works directly with clients and mentors junior attorneys.

Snider’s practice has been anchored in North Carolina since his bar admission. He runs his practice out of Asheville Legal, where he has served as partner since 2016. He handles client matters across the state and maintains an active role in the local legal community.

He is licensed to practice in North Carolina and continues to represent clients from his Asheville office. His current practice centers on representing clients in matters arising in North Carolina courts and administrative forums.
