About Adam
Adam Birkhold took a deliberate path into the law. He studied political science and related fields at the University of Minnesota, earning a B.A. in 2003. Three years later he completed his legal training at Seton Hall University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2006.
After law school, Birkhold moved into private practice. Over the next two decades he built a routine life split between client work and courtroom obligations. He developed practical habits that suit trial and file-heavy practices alike: careful preparation, attention to court deadlines and direct communication with clients.
His professional affiliations shed light on his interests. Birkhold holds membership in the New Jersey Association for Justice, an organization composed largely of trial attorneys who handle civil claims. That association places him among attorneys who routinely engage with litigation issues and trial procedure, and it keeps practitioners connected to developments in state rules and practice tools.
Birkhold currently practices at Birkhold & Maider, LLC. At that firm he handles a steady docket and the kinds of case-management tasks common to small and mid-sized litigation shops. His work involves interacting with opposing counsel, preparing filings and motions, and representing clients at hearings. He also spends substantial time on the factual side of cases: investigating claims, reviewing records and preparing witnesses for testimony.
Colleagues describe him as direct in his courtroom manner and organized in his office habits, preferring clear prose in pleadings and concise presentation at hearings. Outside the courthouse he has taken part in continuing legal education courses and bar-related programming that keeps him current on rules and procedure.
As of 2026, Birkhold brings two decades of post-law school experience to his practice. He maintains an active membership in the state legal community and focuses his current practice on representing clients in civil litigation and related matters.
