About Zalman B.
Zalman B. Sapad combined an interest in business and international affairs with a legal education. He earned a B.A. in Business and Global Politics from Arizona State University, then proceeded to the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at ASU where he received his J.D. His academic path positioned him to handle matters that touch on both regulatory and human concerns.
Sapad began gaining courtroom and client experience early. In 2019 he worked as a law clerk at the Phoenix firm David N. Ingrassia PC. The clerkship exposed him to day-to-day litigation tasks and the mechanics of case preparation. A year later he moved to Community Legal Services of Arizona as a staff lawyer. There he represented low-income clients and handled a range of civil matters, learning to manage high caseloads and to prioritize immediate client needs.
In 2021 Sapad joined Matthew Lopez Law PLLC as an attorney. At that firm he has continued to represent clients in Arizona. His move from nonprofit legal services to a private practice setting broadened his experience in client counseling and litigation strategy. The variety of early roles has given him familiarity with intake, discovery, and courtroom procedures.
Colleagues describe Sapad as methodical in his approach to cases. He applies the analytical training from his undergraduate studies to parse contractual and business disputes, while his law school training underpins his litigation work. He is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona and practices under Arizona jurisdiction. Those credentials anchor his ability to appear in state courts and to advise on Arizona law.
Sapad’s background spans public interest work and private practice. That mix factors into how he prepares a case. He tends to focus on clear client communication and practical problem solving. Clients and co-counsel can expect concise pleadings and a steady emphasis on procedural correctness.
He maintains his law license in Arizona and remains based at Matthew Lopez Law PLLC. Sapad’s current practice concentrates on serving clients in state matters handled through his work at Matthew Lopez Law PLLC.
