About Zachuary
Zachuary Meranda studied at Wright State University before earning his J.D., cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He completed law school with honors and entered practice soon after. His academic path combined regional schooling with a law degree that placed him in the Ohio legal community.
He began his career in public defense at the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office. That role placed him in courtrooms early and gave him steady trial time. He later moved into private practice at Crabbe, Brown & James, LLP, gaining experience on the other side of contested matters. For a period he served as a contract lawyer for Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, handling assignments inside a corporate legal department. He eventually opened The Meranda Law Office LTD and serves as owner and lawyer there.
Meranda has held bar memberships since 2008. He has been a member of the Ohio State Bar since 2008 and maintains memberships in the Columbus, Licking County and Fairfield County bar associations. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. Those affiliations have been continuous since 2008 and connect him to both local and national professional networks.
His professional experience spans public defense, private firm work and in-house contract assignments. The public defender post provided regular courtroom exposure. Time at a private firm introduced him to different litigation styles and client mixes. The corporate contract work showed him how legal departments operate inside larger businesses. He has shifted between those environments and back to small-firm practice.
