About Zach S.
Zach S. Naert has built a legal career that moves between public service and private practice. He has returned more than once to the work of running his own firm, and that pattern has shaped how he approaches client matters.
He earned a B.S. in Political Science and Modern Languages (Spanish) from Winthrop University in 2006, and a J.D. from Charleston School of Law in 2009. Those degrees led directly into frontline legal work. Fresh out of law school he joined the Migrant Farmworker Division of South Carolina Legal Services in North Charleston. That early experience exposed him to the legal needs of low-income and seasonal workers.
After his time in legal services, Naert worked as an associate in private practices across the Lowcountry. He held associate positions in Mt. Pleasant, and later in offices serving Hilton Head and Ridgeland. In 2011 he founded Naert Law Office, LLC. He also served as a founding partner in a private law office on Hilton Head beginning in 2013. In 2020 he again established Naert Law Office, returning to private practice as the lead attorney.
Those years in small firms and community legal services inform how he handles cases today. He is a member of the South Carolina bar and participates in local legal organizations, including the Hilton Head Island Bar Association. He also belongs to the South Carolina Association for Justice and Injured Workers Advocates, groups that gather attorneys who represent people hurt on the job or otherwise injured.
Colleagues describe Naert as steady in litigation and practical in client meetings. He has taken cases through administrative procedures and into court when necessary. Years of handling individual claims have given him a familiarity with the procedural steps that matter for injured workers and other plaintiffs. He has balanced solo practice responsibilities with the occasional partnership role, adapting to the changing needs of clients and the region.
