About Yoka Widira

Yoka Widira Larasati earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2011. She moved into the Texas legal market shortly after graduation and has built a practice grounded in courtroom experience and community involvement. Her academic background gave her a foundation in litigation and client counseling that she has continued to develop in practice.

Larasati began her post-law school years learning the practical mechanics of legal work. Early assignments sharpened her drafting and advocacy skills. Over time she took on more responsibility and began appearing in court on behalf of clients. Those years established a pattern of steady professional growth rather than rapid headline-making wins.

She serves as an associate lawyer at Cannon Law. In that role she handles client intake, prepares pleadings, and supports trial preparation. Colleagues describe her as thorough in casework and attentive to procedural detail. She balances case management with research and motion practice, working on matters that require close coordination with clients and opposing counsel.

Outside of the firm, Larasati has maintained an active presence in Houston’s legal community. She volunteers for the Houston Volunteer Lawyer Program, providing pro bono assistance to individuals who would otherwise lack legal help. She is a member of the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inn of Court, which signals a sustained interest in family law practice and professional development in that field. Early in her career she also served as Co-Chair of Professional Development for the Houston Young Lawyers Association from 2012 to 2013, a role in which she organized programs and mentorship activities for newer attorneys.

Those professional commitments reflect a lawyer who mixes office-based work with service-oriented projects. She appears at administrative hearings and in the civil courts when cases require it. Her approach to client matters is pragmatic: focus on the facts, prepare the record, and pursue resolution through negotiation or litigation as circumstances dictate.

Admitted to practice in Texas, Larasati continues to build her caseload at Cannon Law. She remains involved in volunteer legal services and local professional groups, sustaining the community ties she has developed since law school. Her current practice handles family law and related matters in Texas.
