About Yasmine
Yasmine Poles built a career that began in classrooms and moved quickly to courtrooms. She attended the University of Michigan–Dearborn beginning in 1996 and earned a B.A. in psychology in 2000. She then pursued legal studies at Wayne State University Law School, where she completed an LL.B. in 2004. Her academic path combined study of human behavior with formal legal training. That combination shaped her early professional choices.
After law school she entered public service. In 2005 she served as an Assistant Prosecuting Lawyer in the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office. There she worked on prosecutorial matters, gained trial experience, and became familiar with the practical demands of courtroom work. Colleagues from that period remember a lawyer who managed busy dockets and learned quickly how to present evidence and direct examinations.
Her time in the prosecutor’s office also provided a steady exposure to the procedural side of criminal cases. She saw arraignments, prepared motions, and participated in pretrial conferences. The role required attention to detail and the ability to make decisions under pressure. Those are skills she carried into private practice.
After gaining experience in public prosecution, she moved into private practice. She opened the Law Offices of Yasmine I. Poles, PLLC. The firm is based in Michigan and serves clients in state courts across the region. Running a small firm made her handle both legal work and the practical tasks of managing a practice. That range of duties gave her a clear view of the client experience.
Her background in psychology and early years in a county prosecutor’s office inform how she approaches cases. She is comfortable in court and accustomed to the routines of litigation. She has worked on matters that require courtroom presence as well as files that demand careful negotiation and preparation. Clients and peers describe her as pragmatic and straightforward in her dealings.
Today she practices through the Law Offices of Yasmine I. Poles, PLLC. She holds a license to practice in Michigan and represents clients in state courts. She continues to draw on her years of courtroom work and her academic background in psychology to guide her legal practice.
She now focuses her practice on client representation in Michigan.
