About Yasamin
Yasamin Moussavi began her legal training in Tehran and completed further study in Australia. She earned an LL.B. in Laws and Legal Practice from Shahid Beheshti University in 2003, followed by an LL.M. in International Commerce Law from the same university in 2007. She later completed another LL.B. in Laws and Legal Practice at Flinders University in South Australia in 2011.
Her early career took shape in Iran, where she practised after admission to the Iran Bar Association in 2008. She then moved into roles that combined legal work and community services. In Australia she worked with the Australian Migrant Resource Centre in two capacities: as Communication Coordinator and Administration Officer in 2013 and later as Program Manager in 2016. During that period she also completed a law internship at Women’s Legal Service (SA) Inc. in 2015.
Moussavi’s transition into the United States legal market has been gradual and varied. She served as a legal assistant at Chalaki Law P.C. in 2017 and moved into paralegal work at Hashemi Law PLLC in 2017. She later took on management responsibilities there, listed as Lawyer and Firm Manager in 2018. In 2019 she is recorded as a lawyer at Chalaki Law P.C. and as a member of the team at GoSuits.com. Her record shows involvement in both firm operations and client-facing legal roles.
She holds credentials across three jurisdictions. Moussavi is registered as a lawyer with the State Bar of Texas and with the New York State Supreme Court. She was also admitted to practice as a solicitor and barrister before the Supreme Court of South Australia. Those admissions reflect a cross-border track that spans Iran, Australia and the United States.
Her background blends commercial legal training and on-the-ground community work. The LL.M. in International Commerce Law underpins an interest in cross-border transactional issues. Her time in community legal services and migrant resource work brought practical exposure to client intake, program administration and public-facing legal assistance.
As of 2026 she is associated with GoSuits.com and continues to practice across the jurisdictions in which she is licensed. Her current practice focuses on matters that draw on her international education and multi-jurisdictional admissions.
