About Windsor

Windsor Lanzone took a traditional path into the law, arriving at Rutgers School of Law–Newark after completing undergraduate work at New York University. He earned his B.A. from NYU in 2001 and his J.D. from Rutgers in 2005. Those years shaped a methodical approach to legal problems and a preference for clear analysis over flourish. He learned to write, persuade and think under pressure.

Early in his professional life Lanzone moved into practice in Virginia. He is licensed to practice in that state and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. His admissions give him a foothold in both state and federal proceedings, which shapes how he prepares a case and how he counsels clients about process and timing.

Lanzone serves as an associate at Moore & Lee. In that role he works alongside partners and fellow associates, handling research, drafting court documents and appearing in court when appropriate. The title of associate reflects steady responsibility inside a firm rather than a freelance or solo practice. It also reflects the collaborative nature of his daily work.

Beyond the office, Lanzone maintains memberships in professional organizations. He is a current member of the Virginia Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Those memberships keep him connected to peers across the state and the country. They also provide a forum for continuing legal education and discussion of changes to court rules and procedure.

People who have worked with Lanzone describe him as deliberate in his preparation and attentive to detail. He tends to favor meticulous record-keeping and careful briefing. Those habits inform how he approaches negotiations and litigation. He is comfortable operating in both state court contexts and the federal district where he is admitted.

His legal education and early career choices created the foundation for his current practice. Lanzone draws on the doctrinal training he received at Rutgers and the broader liberal arts background from NYU. The result is a practitioner who values clarity in argument and a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes.

He currently practices as an associate at Moore & Lee, handling matters in Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
