About Wilton
Wilton Anderson is an attorney admitted to practice in Colorado and Illinois. He built his academic foundation at the University of Colorado, Boulder, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2004. He went on to receive a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2009.
After law school, Anderson began a legal career that has spanned multiple jurisdictions. His training in English informed an affinity for clear legal writing and careful analysis. Over time he accumulated courtroom and office experience in matters arising in the states where he is licensed.
Anderson’s dual admission gives him flexibility to handle cross-border matters between Illinois and Colorado. He has worked on cases and client matters that required understanding of procedural differences and local practice rules in both states. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing filings and direct in courtroom settings.
He joined Richmond Sprouse, LLC and practices from that office. At the firm he contributes to case strategy, document drafting, and client counseling. He prepares pleadings, motions and transactional documents when they are required, and he engages opposing counsel and court personnel as the matter demands.
His undergraduate study sharpened skills he relies on every day: close reading, editing and persuasive writing. Those strengths are useful whether he is presenting a brief, negotiating terms, or advising a client about next steps. He also draws on practical experience gained since passing the bar and taking on matters in two states.
Outside the office, Anderson keeps current on changes in state rules and precedent that affect practice in Colorado and Illinois. He attends continuing legal education and participates in internal firm discussions about developments in the law. That routine supports how he advises clients and structures work for litigation or transactional needs.
