About William Philip
William Philip Holloway built the foundation of his legal career at the University of Tennessee. He earned a J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where his studies emphasized trial advocacy and dispute resolution. Before that he completed a B.S. in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Those years on campus shaped the contours of his work: courtroom strategy, evidence, and negotiations.
Holloway’s first role in the justice system came in 2008, when he served as a court officer and clerk in the 21st Judicial District. The position placed him inside courtrooms on a daily basis and gave him an early, practical view of procedures, case flow, and the demands of trial work. He moved into private practice in 2010, joining Schell, Binkley & Davies, LLC. Two years later he continued at Schell & Davies, LLC, where he refined his trial skills and handled a range of matters typical for a litigator in Tennessee.
His path continued into firm leadership. In 2021 Holloway became a partner at Fort, Holloway, & Rogers, LLC. The move marked a transition from associate litigation work to shared responsibility for a firm’s direction, case management, and client work. Over time his role broadened to include not only courtroom appearances but oversight of case strategy and mentoring of junior lawyers.
Holloway has stayed connected to the local bar. He has been a member of the Tennessee Bar Association since 2010 and of the Williamson County Bar Association since the same year. Those memberships place him among peers who practice across the state and in his county, and they provide routes into continuing legal education and local court practice. His earlier clerkship experience informs how he prepares for hearings, files motions, and manages schedules. He is comfortable on his feet in court and attentive to procedural detail.
Today Holloway practices at Fort, Holloway, & Rogers, LLC in Tennessee. He draws on courtroom experience, law school training in advocacy and dispute resolution, and more than a decade in private practice. His work centers on trial litigation and dispute resolution in Tennessee.
