About William K.
William K. Phillips began his professional path at the College of Staten Island, where he earned a B.A. in sociology in 1989. He continued his studies at St. Thomas University School of Law and received his J.D. in 1992. Those formative years set the stage for a career spent largely in courtroom practice and trial work across New York and federal forums.
After law school, Phillips established himself in New York’s litigation bar. He is authorized to appear in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, and he is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He also holds admission to the New York state bar. Over time he took on more responsibility inside his firm and became managing partner of Phillips & Associates, Lawyers at Law, PLLC in 2012.
Phillips’s professional memberships paint a picture of a lawyer engaged with both local and national legal communities. He holds current memberships in the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar, and a number of New York-area bar organizations, including the Brooklyn Bar Association, the New York County Bar Association, and the New York County Lawyers Association.
