About William Joseph
William Joseph Duffy is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Duffy is the managing attorney at Duffy Law, P.C., a law firm located at 100 Spectrum Center Drive, Suite 900, Irvine, California 92618-4974. He has been practicing law for over 18 years, serving clients throughout Southern California, particularly in Orange County.
Mr. Duffy earned his Juris Doctor degree from Western State College of Law in Fullerton, California, graduating in 2005. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Montana, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies in 1994. During his time at Western State, he was the ABA Representative and earned multiple Witkin Awards.
Mr. Duffy concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense and bankruptcy law. He represents individuals charged with offenses such as driving under the influence (DUI), domestic violence, and drug-related crimes. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Duffy has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Southern California for several years. He also served as a Deputy Public Defender at the San Bernardino County Public Defender’s Office, where he gained extensive trial experience.
Mr. Duffy is an active member of the California State Bar Association and holds membership in the California DUI Lawyers Association. He is also a Shepherding Elder at Mariners Church in Irvine, California, and volunteers at the Orange County Rescue Mission. Mr. Duffy is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
