About William J.

William J. McLeod built his legal foundation at Salve Regina University, where he earned a B.A. in Administration of Justice in 1982. He went on to receive his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 1987. Those years of study framed his understanding of state law and the practical challenges that clients face when legal matters intersect with everyday life.

After law school McLeod entered private practice and established himself as a licensed attorney in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. He maintains credentials to practice in the courts of both states and has spent his career handling matters that arise under their differing rules and procedures. That interstate footing has shaped how he advises clients and plans cases, since outcomes often turn on local practice as much as on legal doctrine.

Practice work at McLeod Law Offices, PC centers on direct client representation. He prepares for hearings and trials, drafts pleadings and motions, and engages in negotiation when a resolution is possible. He also spends time counseling clients about practical next steps, timing and risks. The work requires balancing courtroom readiness with an eye toward solutions that resolve disputes without prolonged litigation; McLeod’s approach reflects that balance.

Over the years he has built a small firm operation designed to respond to client needs across two states. That means handling filings in multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with local counsel when necessary, and staying current on procedural changes that affect case strategy. He aims to keep clients informed about developments and the options available to them at each stage of a matter.

Outside the courtroom he remains connected to the legal community through continuing legal education and routine professional activity that keeps his practice aligned with evolving standards. He has practiced since earning his law degree in 1987 and brings that long-term perspective to everyday legal problems. He maintains an active practice at McLeod Law Offices, PC focused on serving clients in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
