About William J
William J Changose built a layered professional life that began at the United States Air Force Academy, where he earned a B.S. in economics in 1983. He later returned to study business and strategy, completing an MBA at Golden Gate University in 1993 and an M.S. in Strategic Planning from Air University in 2002. He finished his legal education at the William H. Bowen School of Law, earning a J.D. in 2015.
His career spans military service, corporate leadership and private practice. After graduating from the Air Force Academy he served in the U.S. Air Force and reached the rank of colonel. He moved into the private sector and held several executive roles. In the mid-2000s he worked in wireless carrier relations at Alltel Wireless. He later held senior operating posts with Westrock Group, including a role as president of Westrock Coffee, USA, and an executive position at Westrock Capital Partners. In 2018 he transitioned to practicing law at Natural State Law, PLLC.
Changose’s background combines operational leadership and legal training. That combination has shaped the types of matters he handles. He is admitted to practice in Arkansas and in the federal courts that sit in the state, including the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas and the Eighth Circuit. He is also admitted to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas. His experience in executive management informs his approach to disputes that touch on business operations and restructuring.
He has been involved in bar activities since joining the legal profession. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and he belongs to the Eighth Circuit Bar Association. Locally he holds memberships in the Pulaski County and Saline County bar associations. He also serves on the board of the Arkansas Association of Asian Businesses. Earlier committee service at the Arkansas Bar included participation on the Governance Committee and the LAMP Task Force.
