He worked in the Fraud Investigation Unit at the New York City Department of Homeless Services in 2005. He investigated allegations and helped assemble cases that agencies took to administrative hearings and courts. Two years later he joined the New York City Administration for Children’s Services as a child abuse prosecutor. There he handled cases involving allegations of neglect and abuse, often coordinating with social workers, medical professionals and law enforcement.
In 2009 he established The Law Office of William Henig, P.C., where he has served as chief lawyer. The firm brought together his prior investigative work and courtroom experience.
