About William
William Foster built a legal foundation at the University of Wyoming College of Law, earning his law degree in 2002. Before law school he served as a reserve officer in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1999. That combination of military service and legal training set the stage for a practice that has moved between public service and private practice.
He joined the U.S. Small Business Administration as a lawyer in 2006. The role involved advising on regulatory and administrative matters and gave him experience in federal practice. In 2008 he took a position at Castle Meinhold & Stawiarski, LLC, where he worked on consumer-related matters and bankruptcy issues. He has practiced in both Wyoming and Colorado and has built a practice informed by those regional markets.
Professional memberships have been a consistent part of his career. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys since 2007. He is also active in the Colorado Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Subsection. Those affiliations reflect a steady involvement in consumer bankruptcy and related areas of law.
Foster added technical training to his legal toolkit by earning a Certified Computer Examiner credential from CyberTrail, LLC. That certification serves as a bridge between legal questions and digital evidence, especially in cases where financial records, electronic communications, or device data are relevant. He combines that technical competence with courtroom and administrative experience acquired during his years in public and private roles.
He now practices under the Consumer Law Pro name. His work spans consumer bankruptcy and related consumer protection matters across Wyoming and Colorado. He represents individual debtors and advises clients on the options available under federal and state law. He currently focuses his practice on consumer bankruptcy and related consumer law matters.
