About Will
Will Ashe arrived at law by way of political science and small-town Maine. He studied government at Gettysburg College and then moved north to Portland for law school, earning his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 2006. The classroom years included practical training; he spent time at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic while still a student, representing clients and handling courtroom duties under supervision.
Those clinic days led directly to the early stages of his career. In 2008 he served as a student lawyer at Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic. After passing into practice, he took an associate position at McCullough Law Offices in 2009. The following year he joined Fairfield & Associates as an associate lawyer. Each stop added to his familiarity with court procedure and client counseling, and he handled a mix of civil matters during those formative years.
Ashe’s background is anchored in Maine. He is admitted to practice in the state and has built his legal work around local courts and community needs. His undergraduate study in political science gives him a practical grasp of governmental systems, while his law school experience emphasized client service and courtroom work. The combination has shaped the way he approaches cases: methodical, attentive to detail, and oriented toward practical resolutions.
Colleagues and clients have seen him work across a variety of matters, often where individual clients require steady guidance through procedural steps. He developed courtroom experience early, and he has continued to represent clients in hearings and negotiations. That litigation experience sits alongside routine transactional and advisory work, the kind of matters that small businesses and individuals bring to a neighborhood lawyer.
Today he practices under the name The Law Offices of William H. Ashe. The office handles civil matters for clients in Maine, and Ashe divides his time between client consultations, case preparation, and representation in local courts. He maintains ties to the community that shaped his legal training and work.
Outside the office he keeps ties to his alma maters and to the legal community in Maine, attending events and remaining involved in local professional networks. He brings to each case the perspective of someone who progressed from a law school clinic to associate roles and then to private practice. His current practice at The Law Offices of William H. Ashe handles civil matters for clients in Maine.
