About Wesley T
Wesley T Keng began his academic path early, attending the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at the University of North Texas in 1995. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Emory University in 1999 and completed his law degree at Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002. Those years shaped both his legal skills and the network he would draw on in practice.
After law school, Keng took a clerkship that placed him close to criminal defense work. In 2002 he served as a clerk for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Earlier, while still a student, he worked as a research assistant in 2000 for Professors Frank Lopez and Brian Shannon at Texas Tech. Those positions gave him exposure to appellate issues and courtroom strategy, and they helped him transition from academic study to active practice.
Keng is admitted to practice in Texas. He also holds a Guardian Ad Litem Certification from the State Bar of Texas, an accreditation that indicates experience in representing children and other parties in family court settings. His association memberships trace a path through Texas legal and civic organizations. He has belonged to the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association since 2002 and joined the Lee County Bar Association in 2007. He was active in Lubbock-area bar groups earlier in his career, holding memberships in the Lubbock Bar Association and the Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyers Association from 2003 until 2007.
Outside the courtroom, Keng has maintained community ties. He has been involved with the Rotary Club of Giddings since 2008 and has served in leadership roles there, including a term as club president. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a lay Catholic fraternal organization, and he continues to participate in civic and legal circles in his region.
Keng practices from his own office, the Law Office of Wesley T. Keng. His background reflects a blend of criminal defense experience and family-court work rooted in his guardian ad litem certification. Colleagues and clients know him for a measured approach to case preparation and courtroom advocacy.
He currently practices at the Law Office of Wesley T. Keng, where his work centers on criminal defense and guardian ad litem matters.
