About Wesley
Wesley Freeman is an Ohio-licensed attorney whose career has moved steadily from public service to private practice. He presents himself as a practical courtroom lawyer. He balances a straightforward manner in court with careful preparation outside it.
Freeman began his formal study of government and law at the University of Dayton, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2009. He stayed in Ohio for law school and received his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2012. Those years in Dayton and Columbus shaped his early legal outlook and set the groundwork for his practical approach to client work.
His first post-law school position put him in the public defender’s office. In 2013 he worked for the Franklin County Public Defender, representing individuals who faced criminal charges. The public defender role involved regular courtroom exposure, trial preparation and direct client contact. Those responsibilities helped him sharpen courtroom skills and develop a familiarity with the county court system.
In 2015 he moved into private practice at Koffel Brininger Nesbitt. That step broadened his experience in a firm environment and added civil practice and litigation work to his resume. Time spent at Koffel Brininger Nesbitt allowed him to work on matters that required collaborative team efforts as well as independent case management.
Freeman also maintains membership in professional associations. He keeps current on developments in Ohio law through those organizational ties. He uses the resources and networks provided by membership to stay informed about procedural and substantive changes that affect clients in state courts.
He now practices at Freeman&Lund. The firm listing is the present base for his work in Ohio. At Freeman&Lund he carries the practical lessons learned in public defense and in firm practice into his day-to-day work. His approach is straightforward: prepare thoroughly, present clearly and handle each matter according to the facts and the law. His current practice focuses on representing clients in Ohio through his work at Freeman&Lund.
