About Wade
Wade Faulkner trained as a lawyer in Texas and then added a specialized military law credential to his resume. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Texas Tech University and went on to receive a J.D. from Baylor Law School. He later completed advanced study at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, earning an LL.M. in military law.
Faulkner's career blends military service and civilian practice. He served in the U.S. Army in a series of trial and advisory roles beginning in the early 2000s. He worked as a prosecutor in 2003 and moved into defense work the following year, serving as a defense counsel in 2004 and as senior defense counsel in 2005. He returned to advisory and leadership posts as a brigade judge advocate in 2008 and took on judicial administrative responsibilities as chief of justice in 2011. In 2013 he sat as a military judge, handling cases under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
That progression gave him experience on both sides of the courtroom. He handled investigations, litigated contested proceedings, and oversaw legal panels. The mix of prosecutorial work, defense representation, and judicial service shaped a practical understanding of trial strategy, evidentiary rules, and military procedure. His LL.M. in military law deepened his familiarity with specialized issues that arise in service-related cases.
In 2016 Faulkner moved into private practice as a partner at the Law Office of Wade Faulkner PLLC. He joined the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association that same year and remains a member. He is admitted to practice in Texas and is authorized to appear in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. His civilian practice draws on the litigation skills and procedural knowledge he developed during nearly a decade of Army legal service.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and thorough in preparation. Clients come to him for criminal defense matters that sometimes intersect with military issues, including disciplinary actions and matters that touch on federal jurisdiction. He often handles pretrial motions, hearings, and bench trials, and he represents clients in both state and federal forums.
He maintains an active criminal defense practice at the Law Office of Wade Faulkner PLLC and focuses on criminal defense and military law.
