About W. Scott

W. Scott Kimberly earned his law degree from Seattle University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2012 after completing his studies there. Before law school he studied history and political science at Harding University, where he earned a B.A. in 2008. Those years shaped an early interest in public service and local civic life.

After law school, Kimberly built a practice in Tennessee and became active in local and state legal organizations. He joined the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers soon after graduation. He is also a member of the Rutherford Cannon County Bar Association. Alongside his legal affiliations, Kimberly took part in community groups as his career progressed, joining the Murfreesboro Young Professionals and later the Murfreesboro Downtown Lions Club.

Community leadership has been a constant thread. Kimberly served as chairman of the Murfreesboro Kiwanis 3-2-1 Club in 2014 and acted as a diplomat for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce in the same year. He has been involved in Kiwanis and Circle K activities dating back to 2010, and he has worked on public service initiatives through the RCCBA Public Service Committee. In 2015 he was a founding member of the American Association of Premier DUI Lawyers, an affiliation that aligns with his courtroom practice.

The arc of Kimberly’s memberships points to the kinds of cases he handles. He participates in organizations that concentrate on criminal defense and DUI law. Those ties reflect sustained work in state courts and regular interaction with prosecutors, judges, and fellow defense attorneys. He attends professional meetings and local civic events, maintaining contacts across Rutherford County and the broader Tennessee legal community.

Kimberly practices in and around Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. His schedule typically includes courtroom appearances, client consultations, and work on case strategy. He balances trial work with community involvement, an approach he has followed since the early years of his career. He currently maintains a legal practice in Tennessee that centers on DUI and criminal-defense matters.
