About Victoria R.

Victoria R. Luman grew up academically focused on people. She earned a B.S. in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Utah in 2013. Three years later she completed her J.D. at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, graduating in 2016. Those years shaped how she approaches both the facts and the people behind them.

After law school she entered practice in Utah and has balanced legal work with a steady involvement in professional publishing and community programs. She serves as Articles Editor for the Utah Bar Journal, a role that keeps her tied to developments in state law and to the task of clear legal writing. The editorial work is part craft and part analysis; it requires attention to detail and an ability to explain complex legal ideas in plain language.

Luman’s community activities run wide. She sits on the Young Executives Board for Junior Achievement of Utah and volunteers in classrooms. She serves on the Development Committee for The Children’s Center. She has taken part in KUER 90.1 committees, including the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the KUER 60th Anniversary Committee. She also volunteers at the Best Friends Animal Society Pet Adoption Center. Those roles occupy evenings and weekends. They also give her recurring contact with issues that matter to local families and nonprofits.

Her academic background in psychology and human development informs how she works with clients. She pays attention to how people tell their stories and to the context behind legal problems. That perspective influences her written work at the Utah Bar Journal and her interactions at the firm. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing records and clear in explaining options. She aims to make legal processes less opaque for the people she represents.

Luman practices at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless and participates in both firm matters and external professional activities. She balances editorial duties, volunteer commitments, and the demands of legal practice. The combination of legal training and a psychology background shapes her approach to client conversations and case preparation. She currently practices law at Parr Brown Gee & Loveless, representing clients in matters handled by the firm.
